Tiffany Sanchez from Carson-Newman College School of Nursing visited the White Pine School Pre-K with the Teddy Bear Clinic. The students were allowed to bring a stuffed animal from home to use during the clinic. The students became nurses and were able to take care of their stuffed animals in several hands-on centers. The Pre-K students were able to use tools that nurses use to help patients. This experience allowed the children to feel more comfortable and less nervous when they visit the doctor.
