White Pine School was filled with smiles and excitement as students opened brand-new books during Book Blast, a sponsor‑driven reading program through Books Are Fun. The goal of Book Blast is simple but powerful: help students build strong at‑home libraries at no cost to parents.

Through the program, students signed up and invited family and friends to sponsor them. Every student received at least one book, while those who earned sponsorships received up to 10 books each. Thanks to the generosity of the school community, White Pine K‑5 students collected more than $14,000 in sponsorships, resulting in an incredible 1,025 books distributed to students.

Book Blast not only put books into students’ hands but also helped ignite enthusiasm for reading and learning.
