Mr. Ron Overton

Mr. Overton is most proud of his 2 sons. Fisher and Luke. As much as possible, he enjoys spending time with them in the Smoky Mountains or at an Atlanta Braves game.

He began his career with Jefferson County Schools as a teacher at Dandridge Elementary. He served as the principal at Talbott Elementary, Rush Strong School and Maury Middle School before coming to White Pine School.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Growth and Learning at Tusculum College
  • Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Tusculum College
  • Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership at Lincoln Memorial University

Mr. Overton believes serving the parents, students, and teachers of Jefferson County is a tremendous privilege and hopes to see us all working together to enrich the lives of our students.

Assistant Principal

Mr. Chris Woods

I was born and raised in Jefferson County and have taught in the county my entire career, excluding three years as an assistant principal in Knox county. I have taught at Maury and Jefferson Middle Schools as well as Piedmont Elementary.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received my Master's Degree from Lincoln Memorial University.

My wife's name is Stacy, and we have three children Tanner, Tori, and Taryn. In my spare time, I enjoy farming and spending time with my family by going to the lake and camping.
